Stephanie Tjon Ajong, a mother of two, is the heart behind Kyoki Boutique, a unique, locally-inspired brand offering accessories crafted in Aruba. Raised in a creative family, Stephanie initially pursued a medical path, but her love for art was stronger. This gave Kyoki Boutique the opportunity to become a reality, a clear reflection of her artistic talent and dedication, offering jewelry and accessories in vibrant colors, all handcrafted.

"Kyoki Boutique was born during a recovery period for me, after an injury that limited my movement." To keep herself occupied, Stephanie began sewing baby items, marking the beginning of the Kyoki brand. Shortly after, her passion for working with polymer clay became a new inspiration. From selling earrings on Instagram and at small markets, Kyoki grew into an online shop in 2020 and eventually a physical space today.

Stephanie’s love for handmade earrings comes from the unique story and personality behind each piece. Working with polymer clay opens many creative possibilities for her and is a therapeutic process. When creating personalized earrings, she forms a special connection with her customers, giving them an opportunity to express their own style. Kyoki Boutique is more than a jewelry brand; it’s a space for self-expression and connection. Using polymer clay, Stephanie has crafted an aesthetic that blends playful colors with sophistication. Beyond her love for earrings, she envisions Kyoki evolving into an even larger creative hub that supports local artists.

Stephanie’s ambitions gained added support and a push from Qredits Aruba, a financial partner dedicated to empowering entrepreneurs in Aruba. When she heard of Qredits through local business networks, her interest was sparked immediately, especially by how Qredits uniquely supports creative businesses like hers. "My experience with Qredits has been very positive. Without a doubt, I recommend Qredits to other entrepreneurs who are looking to make their dreams come true. Qredits helps navigate the challenges of growing in the business world.” With Qredits’ support, she achieved her goals and expanded Kyoki Boutique faster than she had expected.

Stephanie hopes to broaden Kyoki’s product range and add some 'fun' merchandise for customers. Recently, she added a 'charm bar' where customers can choose their favorite charms and create their own pieces in the 'make your own hoop' area. “I love the idea of giving customers a different shopping experience where they can be creative throughout the process.”
Her vision for Kyoki Boutique is to become an iconic Aruba brand where creativity and community intersect.

"Arubans are unique. I feel that they truly value supporting local brands. The local market is growing, and I believe more and more, people are attracted to handmade products that are unique and high quality. I think we’ll see more independent brands contributing to the market, and that’s very inspiring for everyone."
