Mitch Almary (36) is an Aruban singer who has captured the hearts of his audience like no other. Mitch is already an icon in the local music scene, starting his career as a band singer when he was just 21 years old.
At that time, his voice was discovered and his passion for music was ignited in a unique way, placing him on numerous stages today. Nowadays, Mitch is living his best life, single and focused on his personal and professional growth. In this special Valentine's Day and Expression of Love edition, we explore his life, his vision for the future, and what attracts him now as a single man to find that perfect partner in his life.
His talent for singing began unexpectedly at just 9 years old. "A teacher discovered my talent and had me sing in the church choir, where I learned the power of my voice because in a choir you learn to sing all the tones in music." This somewhat marked the beginning of his musical journey. Shortly after during his teenage years, a school friend who heard him sing on the bus during a school trip was surprised by how beautifully he sang. He encouraged him to participate in Sparkling Tour, a local singing competition. "I finished in third place and not long after, I was approached to sing in Tsunami band. A step that I accepted without hesitation."

Singing in a band at just 21 years old was an ‘eye opener’ for Mitch. He learned discipline because between singing on stage, he also had to go to school. He was studying marketing at the University of Aruba. Both, in one way or another, are art which he is passionate about. Today, both talents are part of his daily job and have given him an independence that he cherishes. For him, he has learned at every step the importance of investing in himself: taking care of his health, appearance, and developing his abilities as an artist. "It's important to stay relevant and connect with the audience," he adds, reflecting on his need to adapt to the changes in the music industry. "My job, both are art, and I love them." His biggest fan? His mother, who always introduces him as 'The Singer'. He feels the total support of his family and a wide circle of admirers. He sings all kinds of music, from romantic to danceable, and his shouts of ‘ambiance’ in a song have become legendary.
Being an artist means being constantly under public scrutiny, something Mitch understands well. He makes an effort to represent an exemplary image, taking care of his words and actions, "almost like a politician," he says humorously. Despite his fame and the attention he receives, he maintains a respectful treatment of his fans, and during his last relationship of nine years, he always showed respect for his partner. Now he is single, and although he is not looking, his heart is open... but for true love. His state of singleness, far from being a limitation, has become a space for personal growth and emotional openness.
Mitch confesses that initially, he was afraid of being single, but he has learned to appreciate his own company. "I have learned to enjoy my single life, without feeling lonely." He sees every day as a new opportunity, surrounded by positive energy and people who appreciate his shine. "I remain open to love, but my standards are now higher. I only want the best around me."
What is he looking for in a future partner?
"What I look for in a partner is sincerity and mutual support, especially during difficult times," he explains. "I'm not a person who falls in love at first sight; I value it after getting to know the person well." I am living my best life, every day, because when I think the previous day was the best, the next one surpasses it. I only want the best around me."
As he contemplates his future and what destiny will bring him in terms of love, he is enjoying NOW. Everything is possible, both in love and success in his work. He enjoys traveling and is satisfied with every achievement so far.
