There are certain things that are simply synonymous with Aruba. One of them is, without a doubt, a refreshing glass of lime juice. For many Arubans, having a lime tree growing in the backyard was almost a given. We grew up watching our mothers, grandmothers, or aunts pick a few fresh limes to make an ice-cold pitcher of homemade lime juice, the perfect remedy for the island heat. It wasn't just a drink; it was part of our daily lives and an important piece of our culture.
That's exactly why the idea behind Mi Lamunchi feels so natural. But behind that simple concept lies a story of observation, creativity, and a genuine passion for living a healthier, more natural lifestyle.
It all started in 2025, when Kinshasha and her two daughters realized that, despite trying lemonade from different places all over Aruba, none of them truly tasted the way they believed a real lime drink should.
Wanting to offer a truly natural and healthier alternative, Mi Lamunchi opened its doors with one simple philosophy: a refreshing drink should be genuinely fresh, made with real fruit, and free from ingredients you can't even pronounce.
In November 2025, Mi Lamunchi officially came to life with a clear mission: to serve honest, natural refreshment. Every fruit syrup is homemade using fresh fruit, without artificial coloring, artificial flavoring, or preservatives. Their ingredient list is intentionally short.
But Mi Lamunchi is about much more than serving lemonade. Their goal is to change the way people think about refreshing beverages.
They prove that healthy drinks don't have to be boring. Alongside their classic lime juice, they've created unique combinations featuring ingredients like fresh mint, moringa, and ginger, as well as floral infusions such as Hibiscus (Flor di Jamaica) and Butterfly Pea (known locally as Tontonchi la Reina).
What makes the concept even more special is that many of these ingredients are personally grown, harvested, and cared for by the founder herself.
Yet Mi Lamunchi extends far beyond lemonade. Guided by the same commitment to sustainability and natural production, they've expanded their offerings to include fresh eggs from their own free-range chickens, locally grown fruits and vegetables from their own harvest as well as fellow local farmers, and handcrafted herbal teas made from herbs and flowers they personally cultivate and dry.
Perhaps one of the most beautiful aspects of Mi Lamunchi is their genuine desire to share knowledge with others. They regularly exchange seeds with people interested in gardening, encouraging local cultivation and inspiring others to reconnect with nature.
Today, the team is developing several exciting new projects that will soon expand the complete Mi Lamunchi experience even further.
What began as a passion project between a mother and her two daughters quickly exceeded every expectation. Demand grew so rapidly that the family naturally decided to bring in another family member.
They expanded the concept through Kinshasha's sister, Kyley Arzola–van der Bliek, who now operates Mi Lamunchi in the Noord area, allowing even more people to enjoy the same quality, the same philosophy, and the same personal service.
Mi Lamunchi has also launched a dedicated events division: Mi Lamunchi Events & Celebrations.
Complete with an elegant lemonade cart and fully customized setups, they cater to birthdays, bridal showers, baby showers, gender reveals, private gatherings, and public events, transforming a simple beverage into a beautiful visual and culinary experience that adds a fresh and memorable touch to every celebration.
It's the story of a family that refused to settle for what already existed. A family that created the product they wished they could find themselves. A family that chose health, authenticity, quality, and creativity over convenience. And perhaps that's the real secret behind their success.
It's not just the fresh taste of the lime. It's the passion, dedication, and love that goes into every piece of fruit they harvest, every flower they grow, and every drink they proudly serve.
