It began as a simple idea among a group of airport colleagues who had a vision, the desire, and the commitment to achieve and reach a high-level concept for Aruba's private airport (Fixed-base Operator), JET-TNCA. After presenting their idea and gaining support, they got to work and, a year later, opened the doors of the private airport under the management and for the first time, under the leading operation of Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA). After 1 year of successful operation, it was time to celebrate this in a special way on February 21, 2024, with an inaugural event at the general aviation terminal of Aruba Airport. Guests who gathered for this celebration were able to experience the level of service that our private airport aims to provide. From their arrival, it was clear that this was an important event, a true celebration of a year of successful operation of the private airport (Fixed-base Operator), JET-TNCA .
The event featured the presence of various prominent speakers, such as the Minister of Tourism and Public Health, Dangui Oduber, Director of Commercial Operations, FBO Sales Caribbean at World Fuel Services, Sneider Melendez, and CEO of Aruba Airport Authority N.V., Joost Meijs. Each emphasized the importance of JET-TNCA's role in enhancing Aruba's aviation landscape and in promoting service excellence. Also present at the inaugural event were the Minister of Transportation, Integrity, Nature and Senior Affairs, Ursell Arends, the Acting Director of Aruba Immigration, Andrew Hoo, the airport's Customs Chief, Roderick Wouters, along with other members of the AAA and ATA boards
To express gratitude, Minister Oduber and Sneider Melendez were honored with the emblematic logo of JET-TNCA crafted on wood, a symbol of the craftsmanship and dedication of the exceptional service provided in Aruba. Throughout the evening, various dancers provided entertainment to add a festive touch to this grand celebration. The introduction of the JET-TNCA logo in front of the airport building marked a historic moment, symbolizing the commitment to continue providing excellence and innovation in FBO services at Aruba Airport.
