A crucial collaboration is what took place during the 17th conference of Routes Americas 2024, which occurred in Bogota, Colombia, from March 19 to 22. Aruba Airport (AAA) together with Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA), thus aviation and tourism in Aruba, joined forces for this significant event. In this way, Aruba was given a key representation, thereby demonstrating the commitment to create crucial partnerships and at the same time, elevate Aruba's image and presence even further in the Americas region.

The importance of this union at this specific conference lies in that it is where stakeholders in the aviation industry meet, thus presenting a number of opportunities creating connections and collaborations of great value for various destinations around the world. The participation of Aruba Airport along with the collaboration of ATA, ensured a comprehensive representation of the offer and the potential of Aruba in the global aviation and tourism market.

AVIATION & TOURISM IN A SINGLE STAND - A HISTORIC MOMENT

During the days of the conference, Aruba greatly benefited from this strategic union of AAA and ATA where both parties created a shared stand that creatively visualized the natural beauty along with all the tourist attractions that Aruba, as a destination, offers. This stand, which immediately became an information hub, garnered all the attention and at the same time, facilitated meaningful conversations with airlines that are already established but also with those that are emerging.

STRATEGIC PARTNERS

The benefits emerging from this event are of great importance to Aruba, particularly when considering the formation of associations with leaders in the industry such as GOL, Flair Airlines, Breeze, Alaska Airlines, and JetSMART. These collaborations not only improve Aruba's air connections but also contribute valuable support to the island's growing aviation sector. In addition, associated airlines like JetBlue, British Airways, and Wingo received special recognition, further reinforcing Aruba's reputation as a leading destination. JetBlue's dominance in the market, Wingo's remarkable growth, and British Airways' first year operating the London Gatwick to Aruba route, showcase the fruitful collaborations that drive Aruba's aviation sector.
