Why Politics?
From all around, I hear that the situation is difficult and that the people of Aruba are falling behind, both economically and socially. With my life experience and as a business owner, I want to make a difference to bring relief to the people. That’s why I entered politics.
What Makes You the Right Person for Politics?
With my 30 years of experience as a business owner, I have seen and learned a lot. In various moments in my life, I have fallen and gotten back on my feet. I’ve learned to live with and without the comforts of life. This has made me a humble person, aware of the struggles of those who have little. I am not part of those who were born with a silver spoon in their mouths.
How Do You Maintain Human Contact in a Social Media Era?
Eye-to-eye contact is, for me, the most human way to communicate. People can express themselves better, and in this way, I can understand their personal situations. This allows me to know what’s going on in the community. Social media is a good platform to inform people, which is also important. Both should be used effectively.
Most Urgent Challenges?

- More public housing or subsidized housing.
- Combating corruption.
Crucial Areas for Action?
Tourism. To start, place a hold on hotels, condominiums, and Airbnbs.
How Do You Stay Honest as a Politician?
A politician must be accountable for their actions. Just as a citizen must serve their sentence in prison, a politician must also face consequences for any illegal act. Be transparent.
Ideal Term for a Political Career?

How Do You Plan to Achieve the Change You Seek?
With good teamwork, a lot of effort, and implementing the ideas of our young adults. The world has changed, and we need to change with it.
"I am new blood, not a politician; I come from a humble neighborhood. I have always achieved things on my own. The people asked for change, and that's why I’m here."
