Since its founding in 1979, FCCA has celebrated 45 years of dedication, helping over 20,000 families in Aruba find a home, either through renting or mortgages. The organization remains committed to assisting those who face significant challenges in securing a home.
FCCA offers financial and real estate services, including mortgage financing, land sales, and property rentals, with the mission of developing and constructing accessible, efficient, and durable housing to meet the community's social housing needs. Additionally, FCCA is dedicated to creating neighborhoods with a positive and healthy environment, thus promoting the well-being of its residents.
Alfred Quandus comes from a large family with six siblings. "I have four children, six granddaughters, and two grandsons. My children are very successful in accounting, real estate, and project management, while I am retired." His work journey spans from working at a refinery, in real estate, the hotel sector, and technical construction. This history reflects hard work and dedication.
For 20 years now, Alfred Quandus has enjoyed the tranquility of sleeping peacefully in a rented home he secured thanks to FCCA. "After working as a neighborhood manager for almost two years, FCCA approached me to manage a house on Caya Butishi. I liked the neighborhood and its environment very much." He then got the opportunity to rent the house in the neighborhood he managed and eventually called it his home. "On June 7, 2014, I signed the contract for the house I live in today. I was in a difficult situation after losing my house due to my divorce. After ensuring my children were successful, FCCA helped me find a stable home, providing them with security as well. This house simply gave me immense stability and peace of mind, especially after going through a difficult period and at a time when I needed it the most."
Looking back, Alfred recalls the first time he heard about FCCA. "I heard about FCCA before approaching them for housing assistance. I was living with my parents in Dakota and started to investigate more about the foundation. My impression of FCCA at that time was good. They offered another foundation besides the bank to help people find their homes.
"The aspect of the house I like the most is the tranquility. I feel good in the neighborhood."
"Seek help from FCCA, whether you want to rent or buy a home. The process they guide you through is very beneficial."
"FCCA is a crucial pillar in the community of Aruba. The foundation gives you the opportunity to achieve your own home, providing assistance in every possible way."
The stories of FCCA clients demonstrate the profound impact the foundation has on people's lives in Aruba. From helping in crisis situations to providing stable and secure housing, FCCA transforms lives in our community.
