VADAVAS is much more than a brand. It is a movement born from the union of four siblings Valentina, Daniela, Valeria, and Sebastian all under the guidance of their mother Diana, an entrepreneurial woman who was a single mother herself. What began as a love-filled idea has become an inspirational brand of handmade jewelry and accessories, crafted by single mothers in Aruba and Colombia. It gives them the chance to earn an income from home without sacrificing precious time with their children. The name VADAVAS is a blend of their own names, a symbol of unity, love, and purpose. Their logo a heart lifting another heart reflects this perfectly: giving hope, dignity, and support. Their dream? To make VADAVAS an international brand that continues to create jobs for single mothers around the world and in doing so, uplift lives, one woman at a time.

Working as a family doesn’t come without its challenges, but for the VADAVAS family, the secret lies in respect, balance, and faith in each other's talents.
“Our mom gave us the freedom and trust to bring our ideas to the table," they say. “Each of us has a unique gift, and we value and complement one another. We’re different, but we share the same values: Gratitude, patience, and humanity are our foundation. We see this business as a blessing.”
How do you run a family business without losing your unity?
After 12 years of working together as a family, we’ve come to deeply appreciate the blessing of building something under the guidance of our mother, Diana. Each of us brings a unique gift to the table, and we trust in the talents God has given us. We have respect for one another and a shared mission: to help and to inspire. We’re different, but our values are the same. Love, patience, and mutual forgiveness keep us in harmony even during the hardest times. And yes, as siblings, we hold each other up, even on the rough days.
What has each of you learned from your mother, Diana?
Valentina: My mom is a powerful woman full of wisdom. She inspires us to see the world differently, always shining a positive light on every situation and bringing out the best in everyone around her whether in business, family, or life. She’s a source of love, security, and inspiration. To me, she’s my personal psychologist her advice is deep and always grounds me. She’s not just the heart of VADAVAS; she’s the heart of our whole family.
Daniela:
My mom taught me that life is a precious gift and that we are the artists of our own reality. Every situation can be seen in two ways, and we must fight to see it from the positive side. She walks each day with faith, hope, and gratitude. She focuses on blessings and works with the attitude that something miraculous could happen at any moment. Her energy is contagious and tells the world: “Life is beautiful and a blessing!” She encourages me to follow my destiny with joy, without losing myself in any season of life.
Valeria:
As an entrepreneur, my mom taught me to enjoy the journey, not just the destination. I’ve learned not to do everything on my own but to trust more in our team. She delegates with wisdom, and I’ve learned that humility allows others to help you reach your goals. I’ll never forget her strong faith in God. She believes any person or situation can change, and that there’s purpose in everything. That’s why she keeps going and lives each day with peace and happiness. She’s priceless. She’s always there to stop and talk with anyone who needs her.
If I could describe my mom in one word: Believer. She believes in God, in His word, and in the power of a smile. And that’s something I’ll love forever.
Sebastian:
My mom is the true definition of a good mother. She shows that real love is sacrifice—putting someone else’s needs before your own. That’s what I admire most about her and what I want to live out myself. Her leadership style is inspiring: have a clear vision, make your plan, and trust the process.

What is each person’s role at VADAVAS?
Valentina is the heart and soul of VADAVAS. She nurtures the human atmosphere within the team, offering emotional support, maintaining unity, and making sure every member feels valued and understood. Her energy keeps the workplace culture vibrant and full of love.
Daniela is the creative mind who leads the design of VADAVAS collections. She is deeply connected to the mothers who craft each piece and pours love into the human aspect of the brand. She also oversees branding, ensuring everything aligns with the message of uplifting others and celebrating family and friendship.
Valeria is also highly creative, but stands out through her attention to detail. She manages finances and product development. Her passion for precision and her role in both design and marketing are key to maintaining VADAVAS quality and brand image.
Sebastian is the business hand of the team. He’s an expert at making deals and developing business relationships. He thinks strategically and contributes with insight and respect.
How do you work with single mothers in Aruba and Colombia?
The process is simple: a mother can sign up through social media, email, or by visiting one of our local sites. She then goes through an interview to assess her situation and needs her current employment status, whether she is a single mother, lives with a partner, how many children she has, and their ages. These questions help us build a clear picture of each mother's personal context. We keep this information in our records to better understand who is in greatest need. For us, the children are always the priority, and this overview helps us offer support in the most impactful way. Twice a week, the mothers receive materials and submit their completed work along with receiving their payment. The system is designed to respect their dignity and time. VADAVAS is the ideal part-time income opportunity for mothers who want to work from home. It’s efficient in both time and cost.

More than just work VADAVAS is a sisterhood.
VADAVAS is not just a job. We’re a family that truly values the families behind each mother. The goal is for every mother to believe in her own potential not just as a worker, but as a woman and a mother. It creates a sisterhood rooted in respect, shared purpose, and lots of love. It feels like a truly beautiful family.
An unforgettable story?
Once, we took a group of children to the supermarket and asked them to choose 10 items. Not a single one picked something for themselves. They chose food for their home—and something special for their mother. That gesture moved us deeply. Love is simple, yet incredibly powerful.

How has the VADAVAS experience changed you as women and future mothers?
Daniela: I believe that being a mother is more than just a role—it’s a divine calling. When a mother realizes that her child is a heavenly treasure entrusted to her by God to guide toward their destiny, that’s an incredible power.
Working at VADAVAS has shown me how beautiful it is to become a mother and how powerful it is when heaven trusts you to raise a human being. As a woman, I’ve learned that we have great influence. When we speak, our words carry weight. Everything we do has an impact—double, in fact. That’s why we must fill ourselves with wisdom and guard our hearts, because every word and action has consequences for our families, loved ones, and the world around us.
I cherish this Bible verse:
"A wise woman builds her home, but a foolish woman tears it down with her own hands." — Proverbs 14:1
As women, we are called to build not destroy. To build our homes, our friendships, our work, and ourselves. That power is a great blessing but also a great responsibility.
Valentina:
My respect for the role of a mother—and for women in general—has grown immensely. This journey has taught me how important it is for women to support one another. When women lift each other up, something truly beautiful happens: we become stronger, more confident in ourselves, and more united.
