There is power in kindness.
Small steps every day.
Progress over perfection.
Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.

Inspiring women expand the possibilities for other women and our future generation of women. They motivate others to think more broadly and break the "taboo" that women cannot hold certain positions. Inspiring women demonstrate to other women and young people how to broaden their thinking to achieve more than they believe they .

BARRIER
The biggest barrier, in my opinion, is the way some people think that only men can hold certain positions or practice certain sports. If you were raised with this mentality, it becomes your belief system, and not everyone is open-minded enough to change this thinking. I personally enjoy weightlifting, and it is considered a sport for men. Nowadays, you find many women participating in weightlifting, and this will surely motivate more women and young people to do the same.

SOLIDARITY, HOW?
I believe through support and help for one another. We should not compare or envy others. We must work together to inspire the future generations who look up to us as examples. We all have the capacity to stand in our power and expand our thinking to empower the future generations of women.

PROUD ACHIEVEMENT
First and foremost, being a mother. I work on myself and strive to be better every day for both myself and my children. During a "career development" class in the United States, I planned "Brighter Future". When I arrived in Aruba in 2011, I set up a sole proprietorship called Brighter Future with the goal of providing guidance to children and their parents for a better future. I started by going to the house of one child, working with them at their home, and then began letting children come to my house in my living room. I later moved to La Sallestraat, and today I am the director/president of Brighter Future and Brighter Future Academy Foundation. It is a goal that I set for myself and achieved (with the help of other inspiring women) and there's still more to come.

INSPIRATION
My goal has always been to pursue a profession that helps others lead a better quality of life and make a difference. I have a passion for helping others, especially children. In 2011, when I returned to Aruba, I noticed the need for guidance for our special children and their parents. There was no special education for children who didn't fit into Aruba's educational system. This became the biggest challenge I encountered along the way. This turned into one of my goals, to make a difference in the lives of our special children and their families.

I set personal and professional goals for myself with the certainty that I will do something every day, no matter how small, to achieve my goals. I don't let any obstacles prevent me from reaching my goals. I don't feel motivated every day, but I have discipline and dedication in everything I do and believe in.

AN UNFORGETTABLE MOMENT OF INSPIRATION

I receive many interns who come to do their practice at Brighter Future. I believe in them so much that it makes them start to believe more in themselves. I give them the space to make mistakes and learn from their errors. I help them to achieve their school and personal goals. Some come with a lot of anxiety and insecurity at the beginning, and I make them feel immediately at ease in my presence. What makes me proud.

QUALITIES

A woman who stands for what she believes in. A woman who does not let others' opinions affect her and believes in herself to achieve all her goals. A woman with discipline, determination, kindness, and self-love. A woman who is mentally and physically strong. A woman who can help others recognize their potential and has a positive effect on others' lives.

WHAT MAKES YOU, A WOMAN WHO INSPIRES?

My character and how I treat others. I recognize potential in other people and always try to motivate them to be a better person by being myself. I help everyone in need. I have discipline, dedication, and passion for my work and sports. I am devoted to my family. I strive every day to be a better person so that I can be a good example for my children, Leia and Demi.

BALANCE

Currently, this is something I am working on. It's not easy. What I am doing is creating a "weekly schedule" that works for me and specifies exactly what I will be doing for both my professional and personal life.

Women who inspire expand possibilities for other women

ANOTHER WOMAN WHO INSPIRES YOU

My mother inspires me because she comes from a humble family and had to start working at a young age to help her parents with her younger siblings. My mother has achieved a lot in life on her own. She likes to help others, especially children. She is always ready to help anyone in need.

ADVICE:
Believe in yourself and your goals. Don't let anyone tell you it's impossible. If you believe in it, go for it! Do something every day, no matter how small it may be, to help you get closer to your goals...

MOTIVATE ANOTHER
For everything there is a solution. Take time for yourself, mentally and physically. You are more important than anything else. Find something that works for you, so you can find the peace and tranquility you deserve. These are the basics: nature, sunlight, exercise, meditation, eating healthily, and most importantly, getting good sleep. Look for people you can trust to listen to you and advise you during this phase, whether it's a psychologist, therapist, or someone who has a positive effect on you. Everything is temporary, the most important thing is that you give yourself a break.

INSPIRE OUR CHILDREN
By being a good example for them, it's not what we say but what we do that the children see and will do later. That's why it's important for us as inspiring women to help and support each other. We must "lead by example."

WOMEN IN ARUBA

I find that it has developed a lot since I was a child to now. Nowadays, there are many women who hold positions that were once considered for men, or practice sports that were once considered men's sports. There are many women in our community who are inspiring and are considered "role models" for our men as well
