His career started in 2020 during the pandemic when a livestream on Facebook went viral, opening doors to a new world. The crucial moment that shifted his path was when he was offered the opportunity to start his own radio show. Today, he is the host of "Afternoon Flowz" on X FM 102.7, airing Monday to Friday from 2 PM - 5 PM.
As an MC, Tarrick has dominated major events such as the Aruba Caiso & Soca Monarch, the Carnival Queen Election, and Miss Universe Aruba. However, his talent isn’t limited to Aruba—he has also hosted Flip Flop Festival, Bonaire Music Festival, and the Romeo Santos concert.

At first, Tarrick wasn’t interested in Carnival. "The first request to be an MC for a Carnival event came from Stichting MUSICA. It was the year when the legendary Tio Ruben Garcia (RIP) passed away, and the festival was looking for a capable MC to continue his work. One evening, by chance, I was visiting the family of Tio Ruben, where I received a call from my friend Ralph Maduro informing me that the president of Stichting MUSICA was interested in meeting me. At first, I declined the opportunity. The reason was that, at the time, I was more interested in being an MC for parties and concerts only."
But his friend Ralph Maduro insisted. During the call, Ralph advised him that this could be a new opportunity for his career as an MC, using the example of Tio Ruben, who wasn’t just an MC for Scorpio’s Disco but also MC for various types of events and elections. "During the same call, I changed my mind and realized that, yes, I would step onto the stage for ACSM’25."

Tarrick follows a strict routine before every event:
✅ Review the script
.
✅ Eat something light.
✅ Drink tea and room-temperature water.
✅ No carbonated drinks or juice
His chemistry with Thessaly as his co-MC flowed naturally. "We had great "chemistry " because we already knew each other well. Strong communication before going on stage was key."

If he had to pick his Top 3 favorite events, they would be:
🎭 Queen Election.
🎶 Tumba Festival .
🎤 Caiso & Soca Monarch.

Tarrick believes that the new generation must bring their own energy while still respecting tradition. "Many times, the older generation insists that Carnival should stay the same as it was before, but we need to add creativity and innovation." This is certainly how Carnival in Aruba can continue to grow and shine worldwide.
Tarrick feels that he has found his place in Carnival and hopes to stay on stage for many more years. If there was one thing he would change in Carnival, it would be MORE UNITY AND LESS CRITICISM.
"We are the future of Carnival! We carry our culture. Let’s continue to contribute and showcase our talents to ensure that Carnival grows and evolves!"
Would you take on the role of MC again if invited to the next Carnival celebration?
"YES! Without a doubt!"
If he had to describe Aruba’s Carnival in one word?
Carnival is... LIFE!
