"I was born in the heart of Savaneta, the only son of Solita and Tony Henriquez, in a house right on the edge of the forest surrounded by Aruba's nature,” Nevin Henriquez (30) begins his story.
“My mother Solita is a powerful and intelligent woman with a love for cooking, organizing, and works as an Accountant. My father Tony is the kindest man in the world, always ready to help and loves chatting just like his son! I say I have the magic of both their characters in one. My parents built our house right behind my grandmother's, who was always like my second mother. I grew up closely with my maternal grandparents, as they looked after me from 6 to 16 years old! So, a large family with many connections.
After completing his secondary education in Aruba, Nevin decided to study International Business and Languages (Dutch, English, Spanish & German) at HAN University of Applied Sciences in Arnhem & Nijmegen in the Netherlands. The study was based on Marketing, Culture, and Languages. Adapting to the Netherlands wasn't easy, but Nevin overcame every challenge. His curiosity for cultures took him to Buenos Aires, and later he interned in Barcelona at www.PropulseVideo.com. These experiences contributed to his personal and professional growth. During his studies, he met many people, “surely more than 10,000.” During the Covid period, he faced various challenges, including depression. Yet, he continued fighting, finishing his studies and securing an internship at www.ptc.com. “Here is where I became a master in sales, working for the markets of Spain, Portugal, and England.
“My career is like a video game," Nevin shares, "with levels to overcome, challenges to face, and the 'big bosses' to defeat." During his first year in the Netherlands, Nevin had to support himself and thus began working at Media Markt as a Sales Promotor on a friend's recommendation. Soon, brands like JBL, HP, and Google noticed his skills. Later, he started working for Vodafone Ziggo, further refining his sales skills. While studying and working, Nevin looked for more opportunities. He googled: "How to Start an Online Business". That's when the doors to the world of digital marketing opened. “I bought my first online business program teaching affiliate marketing, where I met my first multi-millionaire mentors in digital marketing. His initial efforts, like Mira-Video, didn't necessarily result in commercial success, but they laid the groundwork for the future. "During my first internship at a Creative Agency in Barcelona, they sold an animation video of 1 minute for 6 million euros. That's when the universe spoke to me: 'Nevin! This is your chance. Start creating and selling animation videos!'"
Nevin's growth in web development began with an offer of 500 euros to design a website for a boutique. “The best part is I got an initial 'NO'. Although the initial amount was negotiated down, Nevin's involvement didn't end there. "The best part is I ended up working for them for a year as a consultant, resulting in much more than I first imagined. From there, I built a website for HCLF Aruba for free as a donation, and they gave me the opportunity to conduct an online transformational seminar to help release trauma, stress, pain, and anger. The seminar turned out to be another ‘major turning point’ in my life. A few days later, I started posting on Facebook and landed my first major project in Aruba to transform the ABV Aruba brand."
From the early steps, Nevin's digital expertise has grown immensely. “From website projects, I shifted to providing coaching, Google Ads, SEO, research, business models, and much more,” he shares. His stint at Google Barcelona as an Account Strategist solidified his understanding of the digital advertising landscape even further. “I worked for 7 months with a group of clients with a half-million euro budget. Together with my best friend Tom in Barcelona, we expanded the Agency and managed to close several contracts with lawyers from England and Germany based in Spain. Now, I'm focusing on growing myself as a Professional Transformational Speaker, Business, and Leadership Coach. But my real passion? Helping entrepreneurs transform their businesses digitally. My process is fully digitalized and assists in setting up your business in record time online.”
“This career chose me. Every day, I have the opportunity to motivate, provide technical support, and advise business owners worldwide on how to grow and expand. I see my job as the path the universe set for me. It's my mission. I started my own 'spiritual journey' 4 years ago, and I'm a firm believer that starting and managing your business is one of the greatest acts of love you can do. It's a kind of sacrifice, accepting much insecurity, challenging yourself and your beliefs, but I believe a business is also a vehicle for soul development.”
