Every day I strive to be my best version. Knowing that I am different in various areas, I am happy with myself and emotionally balanced, which will help me achieve my dreams.

Self-esteem is a very important ability, believing in oneself, loving oneself first. And emotionally balanced, choose your battles wisely and choose with reason and not with emotion. Emotion can betray you. Live without fear. "Fear does not let you live... it stops you from living.”

I am a disciplined person with perseverance, punctual, blunt/honest. My high inner motivation and self-esteem keep me going. I am goal-oriented: I must succeed. I am a caring person, especially for animals and the environment, and I help wherever I can. I do not know the grey area... it is either white or black, I am highly intelligent and problem-solving oriented, but... I do not have my tongue on my head, which gets me into trouble many times.

HOW DO YOU INSPIRE

I inspire myself by reading books and articles written by women and looking for women on social media where I can learn from them. And what I learn, I try to pass on, especially to young women and adults. By writing my thoughts on social media, when I am invited to podcasts or other programs. I have many young adults who come to me for all sorts of advice and there I try to give them my way and my point of view on how to excel in life.

Do what makes you happy.

WHAT MAKES YOU, A WOMAN WHO INSPIRES?

I inspire because of my age, I model or better yet, I do art with my body and put it in photos, my creativity. My body is the canvas and with it I make art. I want to show that despite your age you can model and that just because you are over 60, you have to sit down... after retirement, there is a life to be enjoyed to the fullest. Inspiring to be themselves and enjoy life and enjoy life feeling free and with mental peace.

BALANCE

The balance in my life is knowing my limits. Knowing what I want to combine with what I can. The strategy in my profession is to work within limits and with goals, balance with sports and with music as the basis for relaxation and volunteer work. I have always done my work, my sports and volunteer work with PASSION. When you work with passion, you enjoy.

MOTIVATE ANOTHER
We all encounter setbacks/obstacles in life... This is when you need to be aware of what kind of battle or strategy you use for YOUR BENEFIT. There are obstacles that you need to turn your back on and run away from and there are obstacles that you can think about how and what you can do to overcome this obstacle. That is in your hands. Choose wisely because if it has disadvantages... turn away. But if it's an obstacle that you can handle... go ahead with a good strategy. This requires a MINDSET and a firm decision.

We can stand in solidarity with each other when we support each other in all areas, try to understand each woman and let each one be in their own validity and stop fighting and criticizing.

PROUD ACHIEVEMENT
My greatest achievement is my doctoral degree, founding the Salba Nos Burico Foundation and founding the Crioyo Trappers Foundation, which is a foundation for street dogs. I am proud of my degree because it was not easy as a stranger in the Netherlands in the 80s/90s. And achieving that our horses did not become extinct and that our street dogs are getting the attention they deserve where these animals have been forgotten and despised by many people. I did these 2 projects with passion and love for animals and that gave me a satisfaction that no money in the world can pay. This civic feeling has made my self-esteem grow because I founded them from scratch. The street dog project is very difficult because it is not the dog that is the problem but our people who are not responsible for raising their animals.

BARRIER

The biggest barrier is SUPPORT, VALUE YOURSELF and admire others for their achievements. Our women do not support each other or value themselves as a sex. We are jealous, redo, afraid of being themselves, worry about what others think, behave as the community wants them to be. All of this indicates that our women's emotional balance is not there and their self-esteem is not there either. Where they create a "mental prison" for themselves and cannot break out either. They do not have the courage to do this and conform to the situation they are in. Because of this barrier, there are not more women to inspire in our community. Women sacrifice themselves for their children, partner or family, forgetting that they also have the right to have their own life.

ANOTHER WOMEN WHO INSPIRE YOU

Women who achieve their dreams in all areas no matter their education. For example, a woman with little education becomes a supervisor or a woman who shares her achievements in her field, for example, sports, art, music, education, etc. and now what inspires me is that women over the age of 60 who model, show the world how they enjoy their life and are happy, make reels in all sorts of areas, share their experiences and achievements in life that were not easy, strong women who do not have a tongue on their head who speak things as they are.

ADVICE

For the young: take your studies seriously. That opens doors to your dreams. Do not let anyone take your dreams away. The most important asset is BELIEVING IN YOURSELF THAT YOU CAN. Focus on your goals no matter what. "When things go wrong... keep going. In life there are always obstacles, but use these obstacles to be better and better/stronger every time. Get the best out of all the obstacles to become the best version of yourself. When things get too much... take a step back... relax... Think about what strategy you will use next... and continue. Remember: “The world is for you to conquer.”

WOMEN IN ARUBA

The position of women has developed positively in certain areas and still has a lot to go in certain areas. In terms of education, women are strong and have made great progress in being economically independent.
