Share an experience that has shaped you into the person you are today and how you will apply it at Miss Universe Aruba.

I had my first boyfriend when I was 18 years old. At first, the relationship was good, but after some time, my ex became more and more controlling and abusive. He would insult me, shout at me, and even hit me on some occasions. I felt insecure and unhappy, but I was afraid to leave. I thought his behavior was just a phase and that he would change, but unfortunately, things only got worse.
One day, I reached out to my family and friends about the abuse. They encouraged me to end the relationship and seek help. Since then, I have been healing and rebuilding my life. Overcoming my traumas was not easy, but I learned to love and respect myself. Finally, I found my current partner, who treats me with kindness and respect.
My story is just one among many other women. I want to be an example and show everyone that being a survivor of domestic violence doesn't define you. It only makes you stronger!

Aruba is known for its tourist attractions, but it currently faces some challenges. Tourism is growing, and there are many hotel construction sites. What steps do you believe should be taken to balance economic growth and preserve the environment?

Aruba's economy heavily relies on tourism, so it is crucial to keep tourism alive on the island. However, it is also important to consider climate change. Therefore, I believe the steps that need to be taken include the construction of eco-friendly hotels that use recycling systems, low-flow showers, and LED lights. Ensuring the use of renewable energy, such as solar power, is necessary for an island like Aruba. This way, we can maintain both tourism and a thriving environment.

As a potential ambassador for Aruba, how will you use your platform to improve the island's image and contribute to its development?

I will be an ambassador for our beautiful island by showcasing Aruba's unique culture and natural beauty. I will promote sustainable tourism and demonstrate our vibrant traditions. Aruba may be a small island, but it is incredibly diverse, and I am proud to be a part of it.

In an era where our understanding and perception of beauty are evolving, how would you define beauty as a participant in a beauty pageant?

I believe beauty begins with internal qualities such as compassion, kindness, and honesty. For me, a beautiful soul shines through, and that defines beauty.
