McDonald’s Dressed Up to Unveil New Flavors

On September 14th, 2023, something extraordinary took place; McDonald’s introduced some changes to its menu. With the expertise of The Lab Aruba, McDonald’s, the fast-food giant, rolled out the red carpet and popped champagne bottles to celebrate, announce, and introduce small changes that will make a significant impact on three of their star products: Big Mac®, Quarter Pounder®, and Cheeseburger

The promise? "Hotter, Juicier, y Tastier".

SMALL CHANGES, BIG DIFFERENCE

In front of guests and key McDonald's representatives, Herly Herrera, Nathalia Gomez, Diana Martinez, and Santiago Reina unveiled these adaptations under the slogan “Hotter, Juicier, and Tastier”, Small Changes, Big Difference.

Glazed Toasted Buns: The bread has now deviated from its traditional form where they now get a glaze, adding more softness and elevating the burger's taste.

Not forgetting the fresh vegetable tokens used in every McDonald’s creation. All these combined changes represent the unique and elevated tastes of Aruba's most-liked classic burgers.

A PEEK INTO THE KITCHEN

After unveiling the changes, McDonald’s surprised everyone by opening the doors to their kitchen. They even brought in three local chefs, Chef Xalsky Schwengle (@privatechef.xalsky), Chef Rubén Hernández (@chefrubendh), and Chef Daniel Hernández (@chefdanielhernandez) who confirmed and approved these new changes. From media representatives to influencers and merchants, all were invited to witness the live creation process by McDonald’s dynamic and enthusiastic team. It was unique to see the now revamped Big Mac being created openly for everyone, adding to the trust behind this fast-food giant in Aruba and globally.

Following this tour, the dining room curtains were opened, revealing an elegantly decorated area in McDonald’s traditional colors where everyone could sample the changes they had just heard about. With saxophone melodies in the background, each guest had their orders brought to their tables, which included chicken nuggets as an appetizer, their preferred type of burger, and as a final touch, ice cream with the desired topping. It was a completely different ‘McDonald’s experience.

According to Herly Herrera, Market Manager of McDonald’s Aruba, “The heart of our brand is our classic products and our people. Now, our customers can savor their favorite burgers like never before.” Indeed, the guests' reactions confirmed this. The smiling faces and praises were evidence that McDonald’s had achieved something special, once again.

ENDING WITH MUSIC & DANCE

Just when it seemed the night had ended, all guests were invited outside where a musical surprise with dancers and a brass band awaited everyone. This event was meticulously planned for months with the marketing talents of The Lab Aruba and the vision of McDonald’s, showing that in the world of fast food, McDonald's leads with constant innovation.

These changes will be implemented in all 3 Mc Donald’s restaurants in Aruba: High Rise, Seroe Blanco, and Santa Cruz. This project is part of McDonald’s global strategy, and its implementation in Aruba culminates with the extensive phase of new product development, employee training, and rigorous certification processes for suppliers and the restaurants
