Reeshma Tromp, owner of Amilia Zorgspectrum, is a perfect example of Aruban entrepreneurial motivation. Amilia Zorgspectrum is an essential and necessary business in Aruba; a center for housing, day services, and personalized care for elderly individuals or those suffering from chronic illnesses. This achievement is thanks to the support and guidance she received from Qredits Aruba and its team, who recognized the potential in Reeshma's ideas and provided her with guidance and support to realize her ideas into an important business for the Aruban community.

To add to this, a special and inspiring detail is that Amilia Zorgspectrum is registered as the "400th Loan" of Qredits Aruba, which demonstrates Qredits' commitment and consistency in continuing to motivate and support local entrepreneurs.

A mother of two, Reeshema has always been affectionate by nature, and being easy-going is just her way. Her professional journey began when she was drawn to care models in the Netherlands during her education. "I liked the way care companies in the Netherlands are structured, and this gave me the desire to have a care business." Inspired by this, Reeshema wanted to create a similar but even broader service in Aruba. In 2018, Amilia Zorgspectrum was established.

"Amilia Zorg Spectrum is a care spectrum that includes housing facilities, day services, and personalized care at home for senior citizens and patients with chronic illnesses," Reeshema explains. The name 'Amilia' has a personal touch; it's named after her eldest child, Shadee Amilia, who was already born in 2018 when she established her company. Now, both her daughters carry the name Amilia, making them part of this care and affection dynasty in Aruba.

Amilia started in the simplest form, providing home care services, which led to collaboration with the hospital's social worker, Mrs. Koolman. "To this day, we have created a strong bond with each other for clients who need social assistance." The COVID season brought great challenges to companies, but Amilia used this time to establish lasting connections. "With COVID, while companies were stagnant due to distancing rules, we managed to create a network among doctors and specialists." In September 2022, they secured a contract with Costa Linda as a personal care provider and rentals for tourists. This led to the expansion of Amilia's housing and day services.

There's no better way to describe the union of Amilia Zorgspectrum with Qredits than 'the perfect moment'. "Qredits' assistance came when I had taken care of the house all by myself but had also spent my last savings for the company's accommodation, which had been running on its own for two months. I call this God's blessing for all the times I kept pushing myself to not give up, to remain positive and believe the sun will shine again." As the recipient of Qredits' 400th loan, Reeshema feels immense pride. "I am honored to bring an innovative and more personalized care model to the Aruban community."

When asked about her aspirations for the future, for Reeshema, it's simple; her ambition is to expand her business both in Aruba and internationally. Reeshema envisions several facilities of the Amilia Zorgspectrum concept serving the elderly and/or those with chronic diseases.

For those about to start their own business, Reeshema has some advice: "Connect with your purpose and take the risk. We may waver when making quick decisions and feel insecure and afraid, but the reality is you have nothing to lose if you don't take the risk. Always remember God's plan is bigger than what you want. Hold onto your faith because that is the key to keep going until you reach your destination. And once you're there, ask for wisdom to continue and manage your business."

Where do you see yourself with this business in 10 years? "I see Amilia Zorgspectrum with its own building serving older adults and those with limitations. The care spectrum will be fully operational. I also envision a resort for day stays and further growth in the tourist area."
